Let’s make #SriLankaStrong
My Dear Friends,
The past two weeks tested the spirit of this country and the true essence of our people. Whist I thank my fellow Sri Lankans for doing their part, I would like to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly praise the leadership and direction showed by our Religious leaders, specially the Archbishop of Colombo, His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, Mahanayaka’s of the three chapters and other religious leaders. I would also like to thank the three armed forces and the police for their support in ensuring the safety of the people.
Following the emergency phase of the terrorist attacks, we at Sri Lanka Red Cross began yet another mission to support the families of the victims. Hence, our volunteers have been knocking on doors in the affected districts, gathering information of the people who were victims, and the others who survived. Our initial assessments looked into their immediate to future needs.
We at Red Cross have compiled the list of families who need support along with their requirements. We believe that there are so many individuals, families, cooperate entities and other parties in Sri Lanka and overseas, who are willing to give their goodwill and to support any of these families, and yet do not have the necessary means to do so. Considering this, we at Red Cross is willing to share this information with any interested party or parties who are genuinely looking to support survivors and their families. This information can be obtained by writing to our Director General, Sri Lanka Red Cross, No. 106, Dharmapala Mawatha, Colombo 07 / E mail – [email protected] or via 0112 691 095
The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society too have begun numerous activities to provide support to the survivors of this attacks. Information on those programmes are now available at www.redcross.lk
Let’s rally now to help the people who need our assistance the most.
Through this, let’s make #SriLankaStrong
