Joining Forces for Greater Awareness

(Colombo, Sri Lanka), On the 20th March, the awareness raising mandate of Sri Lanka Red Cross Society broadened its scope with the new collaborations forged with the Ministry of Transport Services Management, in addition to its partnership with the Sri Lanka Police. The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society’s Deputy Director General, Aruna Lekamge handed over personal protection materials such as masks and the relevant communication materials to the Police as well as the Minister of Transport, Mahinda Amaraweera (MP).

Meanwhile our volunteers and staff with the support of the Ministry of Transport, undertook the task of distributing masks for those who were waiting at the Central Bus Stand in order to travel out of Colombo yesterday. Awareness-raising materials was also distributed to the public and pasted in key visible areas such as inside buses etc.
