Food distribution in Matara Hospital

29/05/2013 – With assistance of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Matara Branch, Youth Circle members of MR/ Janadhipathi Maha Vidayala organized a Dry Food Pack distribution program on 21st May 2013 at Maternity ward in General Hospital, Matara.

The program concept was initiated by Youth Circle member of MR/ Janadhipathi Maha Vidayala to celebrate the Vesak Festival. SLRCS Youth Members and school senior students took part in the programme. Among the distributed items; selected Fruits, Instant fruit juice, Biscuits and other sanitary items were available. In the same program, the represented students were given a donation for Maternity ward nurses. The programme managed to serve over 100 maternity and new born mothers.
