Capacity building in disaster response in Galle

28/06/2012 – Galle, Sri Lanka:  Red Cross Branch Disaster response team was given a custom-tailored training on basic GPS navigation, Satellite & Radio Communications recently at the Galle branch.

Nearly 20 BDRT members attended the training workshop which was conducted by the ICRC resource personals.

The main objective of the workshop was to give a comprehensive training on how to navigate and communicate using common field equipments during disasters.

The workshop was funded by the ICRC.
