First Aid Training for Girl Guides Camp
25/01/ 2014, Mannar, Sri Lanka – An Elementary First Aid Training was carried out for the Northern Province girls guide teachers on the 25th of January 2014 covering the whole syllabus required for a school First Aid Training.
This was a “one day training” which began at 10.30 am and concluded at 5.30 pm. Mr. Balasingham Methunan, a young First Aid Instructor & a long term volunteer conducted the training with the support of a female volunteer of the branch.
By training the girls guide on First Aid, the concept of safer school could be made realistic while the image of the RC is enhanced leading to an active Junior Circle in schools.
Further, two hour dissemination was conducted by the Red Cross Mannar Branch Executive Officer on principles & values for the teachers participated from Jaffna, Vavuniya and Mannar districts.
