Sri Lanka Red Cross Society together with the Ernst and Young (EY) Global Delivery is Organising a Series Medical Camps in the Colombo District
Sri Lanka Red Cross Society together with the financial support from Ernst and Young (EY) Global Delivery is organising a series of 10 medical camps in the Colombo District, targeting the families earning a low income and are unable to afford to buy medicine used to treat non-communicable diseases due to inflation. The monetary value of the generous support from the EY Global Delivery is worth of 25,000 USD.
Continuing with the intervention, 02 medical camps were recently completed on 10th and 12th of August 2023 at the Wadullawatta Commmunity Hall in Kolonnawa and Sri Senevirathnaramaya Temple in Megoda Kolonnawa, respectively, with an overwhelming success.
These humanitarian efforts were appreciably supported by the offices of the Regional Director of Health, Non-communicable Diseases Unit – Gothatuwa, Medical Officer of Health – Kolonnawa. Further, Public Health Inspectors, Midwives and Volunteers of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society were also instrumental in completing the camps successfully.
The next medical camps of the series are scheduled to be held on 16/08/2023 and 17/08/2023 from 09.00 AM to 02.00 PM at the Sri Sudharmaramaya Temple in Ambalangoda, Polgasowita and Weragoda Vidayala in Wellampitiya, Kolonnawa, respectively.
