Blood Donation in Batticaloa
01/02/2014 –Batticaloa, Sri Lanka – The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society’s Batticaloa Branch organized a blood donation campaign at Vakarai Divisional Secretariat Office on the 29th of January 2014.
This blood donation campaign was organized jointly by the Red Cross, Divisional secretariat and the Blood bank of Batticaloa District.
Over 25 new blood donors joined with this worthy cause. A total number of 46 blood donors gave blood at the campaign.
Vakarai is an area where people were resettled after the conflict and the community living here faces many challenges as well.
