Singapore Red Cross Joins Sri Lanka Red Cross Society in Flood Relief Efforts
The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS) is proud to announce a new partnership with the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) to aid communities affected by recent floods in Sri Lanka. In a generous act of solidarity, SRC has donated SGD 50,000 in humanitarian aid and deployed a team of five staff and volunteers to support the relief and recovery operations led by SLRCS.
This collaborative effort is aimed at delivering immediate relief to those suffering from the devastating impacts of the floods. Together, SLRCS and SRC will provide essential services, including:
- Safe Drinking Water: Ensuring access to clean water to prevent waterborne diseases.
- Clean-up Initiatives: Assisting communities in cleaning and restoring their homes and surroundings.
- Medical Camps: Setting up medical camps in flood-affected areas to offer essential health services.
- First Aid Assistance: Providing immediate first aid to those injured or in need of urgent care.
- Non-Food Items: Distributing necessary non-food items to families displaced by the floods.
