First Aid training to the military
15/11/2012 – Walioya, Sri Lanka: The First Aid division of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society carried out several trainings recently under the request from the 23rd Division Camp of Sri Lanka Army located in Walioya.
The first aid trainings saw 26 members of the military receiving the knowledge in basic first aid and other areas.
The personnel were trained on what type of measures that needs to be taken during an injury or wounds and how they can treat it before moving them towards a hospital or a medical facility.
This training is in line with several activities organized for the military by Sri Lanka Red Cross to educate and train the personnel on life saving measures.
Upali Amarasekara, Programme Manager of First Aid, President of SLRCS Jagath Abeysinghe & Deputy Director General of SLRCS Sudath Madugalle were present at the event.
